Voici, la copie d'une "petite" expérience personnelle (oui, je suis joueur) ...

un QNAP avec VGA, un adaptateur USB son ... de l'huile de coude ...

juste pour le "fun"

This is just for fun , it's not a package, it's just a "proof of concept", this "stupid" idea is come after an "intelligent" message of sl1000, about the possibility in virtualbox to use the VGA and a USB Sound stick to play media ...

For few days my QNAP TS-459 is not in it "normal" place and are for few days in the lounge near the TV ... so what not run a test ...

Hardware and Sofware used :

TS-459 ext. to 2GB with Qnap firmware 3.6 and Debian6 QPKG & Virtualbox QPKG

An USB keyboard (French) an USB mouse

An USB sound adapter from Logitech and a mini-jack cable.

A VGA cable.

A TV Samsung B650 with VGA and PC sound entry.

Softwares : Xorg, fluxbox (a light Windows Manager), shell script to set parameters (screen saver off, dpms off, change screen resolution 1024x768, the "normal" one 1980x1024 ... need to change fonts ... ), VLC player, Virtualbox ready to run in another chroot, x11vnc to be able to have remote connection to Xorg server.

Client : (work from my couch)

T91MT asus tactile tablet PC under Windows7 with VNC client WiFi

Android phone I5801 Samsung, WiFi, VLC remote

Quality of the video NOT very good, it's a small USB Webcam ... and the target is the TV screen ... so ...

Also REMEMBER : it's a proof of concept ... not all is solved, only funny guy's (like me) can attempt to do this unusual manipulation ...
